Over the summer of 2010, I decided to take my required college elective class. I chose Ethics/Human Values, because it was something that interested me and it could also be applied to the health field that I intend to go into after college.
For one of my midterms, I was required to write a philosophical self portrait. In other words, an essay that showed my personal ethical beliefs.
It was very challenging to look into myself and not only discover my philosophical ideas, but to then put them into words.
I am very pleased with my results. It is only the second college essay I have ever written, and it also conveys my own moral standards that I was able to back up with theories I learned by taking the class.
